Job Description

Our auction subsidiary, JJ Kane, has an opening for an Auction Sales Coordinator at our Houston, TX yard. JJ Kane extends the lifecycle of critical equipment, supporting small businesses and local communities, which is beneficial for the environment. Altec’s JJ Kane auction associates are the best in the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of sold products, customers, and processes.
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries during auctions.
  • Managing operational issues like pictures, specifications, descriptions, and conditions, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Interacting professionally with customers onsite, ensuring a hospitable experience.
  • Assisting in approving auction items and website listings.
  • Attending training to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Safely operating vehicles and equipment.
  • Processing orders accurately and timely.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Pay range: $63,000 to $70,000, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Sales or Business.
  • Available for overnight travel.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time independently.
  • Excellent customer and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
