Job summary

Sherman Reilly Inc. is seeking anassembler to contribute to production, assembly and test of its machinery. The role involves assembling components into finished units per BOM, reading blueprints, wiring and basic testing with supervision.

The position requires basic math, reading skills and adherence to safety practices. Employees will participate in crane and rope winding tasks when needed, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 6 months’ experience in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble or produce components into completed units per bill of materials and production documents.
• Demonstrate fit up and installation of hydraulic, mechanical components, electrical wiring, plumbing, etc.
• Read blueprints and schematics and handle materials and tools.
• Perform minor adjustments, repairs or setups under supervision.
• Inspect parts using gauges, tapes, fixtures or inspection equipment.
• Perform various assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.
• Maintain organization of tools and storage cabinets.
• Assist quality in testing and other efforts as required.
• Conduct rope winding as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as instructed.
