Job summary

Industrious Group Inc. seeks a skilled Mechanical Assembler to assemble and disassemble large steel equipment, following blueprints, manuals, and engineering memos to rebuild and repair machinery using hand and power tools.

The role requires reading calipers, micrometers, and other gauges, operating overhead cranes safely, and applying paints and solvents as needed. Team-based fabrication work, with strong safety awareness and adherence to customer specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years mechanical assembly and disassembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to interpret ID/OD micrometers, calipers, radius gauges.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and tubing.
• Able to wear a respirator during painting and shot blast process.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
• Measure parts with calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify conformance.
• Assemble and disassemble machines and equipment using hand/power tools.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely.
• Apply paints and solvents appropriately.
• Test assembled equipment and ensure alignment to specs.
• Form and install piping for lubrication and hydraulic systems.
