Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembler at our Sanford, NC processing center. You will complete assembly of heavy machinery using a variety of tools, interpret manuals, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role involves outdoor work in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating equipment to position parts and attachments. Starting pay is $17.00/hour and experience-based progression applies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate various types of heavy equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes.
• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for construction and agricultural equipment.
• Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to operate power tools and withstand tool vibration.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights up to 15 feet.
• Current valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts as needed.
• Drive and operate equipment to position attachments during assembly.
• Read blueprints and schematics to ensure correct assembly.
• Follow OSHA standards and safety regulations at all times.
