Job summary

Michigan Kenworth in Grand Rapids is seeking Body Shop Technicians with prior body shop experience and effective communication skills. This position offers excellent benefits and a path for growth within a expanding dealer group.

You will prep vehicles for body repair, perform maintenance on medium and heavy‑duty units, diagnose systems, and document repairs with clear, accurate notes on the Repair Order. Strong teamwork and customer communications are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
• Welding is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for body repair work.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy duty vehicles.
• Troubleshoot systems (electrical, drive train, HVAC, brake, engine, suspension) and document repairs on the Repair Order.
• Communicate repair details clearly to the Shop Foreman and customers.
