Job summary

Pine Belt CDJR MS in Texas is seeking a Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Technician STMP 649 to diagnose and repair diesel trucks and trailers, from brakes to electrical systems. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, use diagnostic tools, and respond to roadside service calls as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or trade certification, prior diesel mechanic experience, ability to lift 30–250 lbs, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience as a diesel truck mechanic or fleet tech is preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical systems on semi-trucks and trailers, including:

Brakes

HVAC systems

Drivetrains

Electrical systems

Preventative Maintenance (PM) inspections

Conduct fleet inspections and perform scheduled maintenance.

Operate diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately.

Perform tire-related services as needed (mounting, balancing, repairing).

Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).

Maintain detailed records of work performed.

Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and DOT regulations.

Respond to roadside service calls using a company service truck when required.

Assist with parts inventory and shop organization.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certification a plus).

Prior experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet technician, or heavy truck mechanic preferred.

Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability.

Must be able to lift/move tires and equipment (30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids).

Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Willingness to work in varying conditions (weather, noise, physical demands).

• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime maybe required.
