Job summary

Palmer Trucks is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy and medium‑duty trucks, buses, and construction vehicles. The role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and component repairs, using specialized tools and software, and documenting repairs on Repair Orders.

Applicants should have basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and CDL is preferred. Flexible shifts including evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer skills and repair order processing software.
• Valid drivers license and safe driving record; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform recommended routine maintenance procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests for issues and failures and performance.
• Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
• Routinely use computerized equipment and specialized tooling.
• Completes assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Accurately records time, cause and correction on Repair Orders.
• Test components that may require driving trucks before and after repairs.
• Participate in technical training and professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
