Job summary

Palmer Trucks is seeking a Service Mobile Technician to diagnose and repair heavy- and medium-duty trucks from a mobile unit. You will perform inspections, maintenance, installation and repair of components and systems, with emphasis on safety and secure work environments.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnostic testing, documenting repairs on repair orders, and testing components by driving trucks before and after repairs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic computer skills and Repair Order Processing Software.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• FMCSA medical certificate required; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on heavy- and medium-duty trucks.
• Routinely use computerized equipment and specialized tooling.
• Accurately record time, cause and correction on Repair Orders.
• Test components by driving trucks before and after repairs.
• Participate in technical training and professional development.
• Complete assigned repairs in a timely and safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
