Waste Pro of Louisiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy and light trucks. Experience with gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems is valued, with welding/fabrication possible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and material required for repairs.
• Guide and assist assistant technicians and shop helpers.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to maximize safe operations.
• Communicate issues with managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely, concise manner.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles/equipment.
• Utilize Factory Service Manuals for repairs.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure quality work.
• Maintain high ethics and dependability.
