Job summary

C. Harper Commercial Truck Center is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty/Diesel Technician to join a growing team focused on servicing medium and heavy-duty equipment.

You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and diesel systems in a customer-focused environment. Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Experience with diesel diagnostic software and tools.
• Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with customers and reading work orders to determine necessary repairs.
• Developing work plans based on diagnostic assessments.
• Running diagnostic tests and offering solutions for engine and system issues.
• Inspecting and repairing vehicle systems including suspensions, steering, and exhaust.
• Repairing or replacing transmissions, brakes, engines, and related components.
• Conducting field visits for emergency or breakdown service calls.
• Test driving vehicles to assess repair quality and performance.
• Performing regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wheel balancing, and brake inspections.
• Maintaining accurate records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
