Job summary

Penn Power Group, LLC is seeking a Carrier Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration units on commercial trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. You will work in varied indoor and outdoor environments with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years in heavy-duty refrigeration, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. NJ-based site with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty refrigeration repair or maintenance (preferably with commercial trucks, trailers, or industrial units).
• In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (required for handling refrigerants).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains and repairs refrigeration units, and all systems/components related to heavy duty tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
• Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration cycles.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections to ensure proper functioning.
• Recharge refrigerant systems and replace or repair parts, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
