Job summary

Traction stores, part of Genuine Parts Company (GPC), seeks counter sales associates to greet customers, advise on heavy-duty parts, and promote current promotions. You’ll assist with inquiries in-person or by phone and handle cash register transactions.

Expect to demonstrate knowledge of products, provide technical guidance, support stock orders, and assist the outside sales team in a fast-paced retail environment. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and able to work weekends.
• Prior heavy-duty parts background or knowledge preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills (written and verbal).
• Positive attitude and strong personal drive; able to learn in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in-person or by phone with parts questions.
• Provide technical advice, troubleshoot, and suggest applicable parts.
• Promote current sales promotions and warranty information.
• Operate a cash register and handle daily paperwork; process stock orders as needed.
• Support outside sales staff and handle related tasks assigned by management.
• Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.
