Job summary

GPC Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Traction counter sales teammate for our Heavy-Duty parts stores in Raleigh, NC. You will greet customers, provide technical advice, and promote current sales promotions to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include assisting customers in-person or by phone, handling daily paperwork, and communicating product benefits and warranty information with a professional demeanor. Weekend availability and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior Heavy Duty parts background or knowledge is preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills (both written and verbal).
• A positive attitude and great personal drive.
• A willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced retail sales environment.
• Availability to work on weekends.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Operate a cash register, computer and paper cataloging systems and process daily paperwork and forms.
• Communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.
• Communicate current sales promotions.
• Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct and appearance at all times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and their applications, give technical advice, troubleshoot, and help solve customers’ problems.
• Provide sales support, process customer stock orders.
• Assist outside salesperson, as needed.
• Perform all other tasks assigned by management.

Traction counter sales employees perform a variety of duties. Primarily greet and assist customers, provide technical advice, promote the current sales promotion.

• Demonstrate knowledge of products and their applications ( give technical advice, troubleshoot, and help solve customers’ problems
