Job summary

I-State Truck Center in Billings, MT is seeking a Second Shift Parts Counter Representative (12:30pm-9:00pm, M-F). You will source and price parts, manage inventory, and assist technicians and customers with heavy‑duty truck parts needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred in automotive/heavy-duty parts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computerized inventory systems and basic computer apps.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects; work independently and in a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lookup, price, and purchase parts for on-highway diesel trucks, off-highway, and mining equipment.
• Fill requisitions and distribute items to technicians.
• Enter and pick customer orders from stock.
• Drive to local vendors to source parts and materials.
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Utilize inventory systems to locate parts and check availability.
• Process orders, invoicing, and payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized parts counter and workspace.
• Assist with receiving and stocking parts shipments.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
