Job summary

ProLift Rigging is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered equipment, including cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and other heavy gear. You will troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, booms, outriggers, pumps, and other components.

Work closely with operators and mechanics to ensure safe, reliable operation. Responsibilities include PM and repairs across diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in diesel maintenance with proven troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Must have current CDL.
• Willing to work day and/or night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes and other components.
• Work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Collaborate with operators and other mechanics to identify issues and complete repairs.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for performingpreventative and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered equipment, includingcranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and other heavy equipment. This roletroubleshoots and repairs diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical andonboard computer systems, brakes, booms, outriggers, pumps, and othermechanical components. The Mechanic works closely with equipmentoperators and fellow mechanics to identify issues, complete repairs,and help ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready foroperation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsiblefor performing PM and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms,electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems),hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basiccomponents
• Musthave the ability to work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts,tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipment
• Mustwork well and communicate effectively with operators and othermechanics

• Position will manage branchresources throughout the maintenance lifecycle

Work Environment:

• Constructionsites, industrial facilities, and maintenance shops.
• Exposureto outdoor elements, loud noises, and heavy machinery.
• Requiresstanding, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy materials.
• Mayrequire overtime, weekend work, or travel to different job sites.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimumof 3 years’ experience in diesel maintenance withproven troubleshooting skills
• Mustwork safely in a fast-paced environment – many times underpressure
• Experiencedwith Cummins and CAT diesel engines and systems
• Experiencein gasoline and propane engines
• Provenability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Musthave current CDL
• Creativethinking skills to make continuous improvements
• Willingto work day and ornight shifts, weekends and holidays
• Mustpass drug test, fit for duty test and background check
• Havebasic computer skills, Excel skills, and the ability to work with digitalrecord keeping
