Job summary

Coastal Asphalt is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Dump Truck Mechanic to join our Conway, SC shop. You will diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks, perform preventive maintenance, and document inspections to keep our fleet safe and reliable.

Ideal candidates have diesel truck repair skills, experience with Detroit/Cummins/CAT engines and Allison transmissions, welding ability, and the willingness to train less experienced technicians. Competitive pay and year-round steady work.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Detroit, Cummins, Caterpillar engines and Allison transmissions.
• Experience using OEM truck diagnostic software.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.

Coastal Asphalt is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Dump Truck Mechanic to join our team in Conway, SC. We are looking for a motivated technician who takes pride in quality work and is committed to keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty dump trucks
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Complete and document DOT inspections
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and air systems
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Perform welding and light fabrication repairs as needed
• Keep accurate service and repair records
• Work with the shop team to minimize equipment downtime
• Assist with training and mentoring other technicians as needed

Qualifications

• Experience repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks

• Dealership experience is a plus

• Willing to work with and train other technicians
• CDL is a plus, but not required
• Must have your own basic mechanic tools
• Must have a clean driving record and be eligible to operate a company service truck
