Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to operate a heavy-duty truck on daily routes, picking up donations and delivering merchandise to customers. You will verify pickups, log mileage, maintain vehicle safety, and assist in the warehouse as needed.

The role requires lifting, loading, unloading, and safe handling of donated items including furniture and appliances. Qualified candidates have a valid state driver’s license, at least one year of driving a heavy-duty truck or large

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• One year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive a heavy-duty truck along scheduled routes to pick up donations and deliver merchandise.
• Review pickups for correct day and location; prepare receipts.
• Load and unload donations, maximize space and protect items.
• Maintain vehicle and log mileage; ensure safety and security of items.
• Assist in warehouse tasks and operate a forklift when trained.
