PACCAR Financial Corp. is seeking a Truck Technician for our Used Truck Center in Fontana, CA. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair Class 6/7/8 diesel trucks, following PACCAR procedures and safety standards.

This full-time role requires a minimum of 2+ years in diesel mechanics, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work under vehicles and in a fast-paced shop. Competitive benefits and overtime opportunities available.

Requisition Summary

PACCAR Financial is seeking a Truck Technician to join our Used Truck Center in Fontana, CA. In this position, you will perform a variety of skilled tasks including proper maintenance and repair of Class 6/7/8 diesel powered trucks.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Must be able to work during core business hours, Monday through Friday.
• Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck‑tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck‑tractor components following a PACCAR check list.
• Perform repairs to truck‑tractor components including, but not limited to, oil change, light bulb replacement, and wheels and tires.
• Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to work in a team based environment, multi‑task and accept shifting priorities.
• Provide superior customer service to all of PACCAR's clients.

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on diesel mechanics experience
• Proven track record of quality workmanship with minimal rework
• Strong commitment to workplace safety with demonstrated knowledge of shop safety protocols
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment
• Capable of standing and working for extended periods
• Comfortable performing work under vehicles and engine bays
• Ability to handle the physical demands of diesel mechanic work
• Available for full‑time work and able to work additional hours occasionally as needed

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

• CDL highly preferred

Education

• High School diploma required.
• Leveling for this position will be based on experience.
