Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/Technical certification post secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics, and repairs (AC/electrical).
• 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Additional location-specific certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair on heavy- and medium-duty equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Replace defective components and work unsupervised on most tasks.
• Maintain facility upkeep and assist with fleet operations.
• Interact with drivers/customers to determine etc. the nature of the problem and task.
• Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and share knowledge.
• Complete OEM diagnostic tool courses as required by location fleet mix.
