Palmer Trucks in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Service Technician C to diagnose and repair heavy- and medium-duty trucks, buses, and tractors. You will perform inspections, maintenance, installs, and repairs on engines and systems, using diagnostic tools and advanced equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of repair order processing software.
• Position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate motor vehicles.
• A current Commercial Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform recommended routine maintenance procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests for issues, failures and performance.
• Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
• Routinely use computerized equipment and specialized tooling.
• Completes assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner.
• Accurately records time, cause and correction on Repair Orders.
• Test components that may require to drive trucks before and after repairs.
• Participate and completes technical training and professional development.
• Other duties as assigned
