Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment used by the traffic department at our Guymon facilities. The role supports management to keep schedules and warranties intact for tractors and trailers.

A safety-sensitive position, this role requires hands-on diagnostics and timely repairs to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and documenting work; coordinating with management on daily

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic.
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration repair is preferred.
• Must be able to perform vehicle and trailer repairs, including engine work, brakes, tires, electrical issues and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment and advises on repairs beyond routine maintenance.
• Documents repairs and plans to minimize cost and downtime.
• Tracks repairs with date, cost and downtime; ensures safety and food safety policies.
• Drives equipment to shops and coordinates PM services as needed.
• Uses engine software to identify fault codes and diagnose issues.
• Procures parts for required repairs.
