Job summary

Seneca Tank in Des Moines, IA seeks a Heavy Duty Service Technician to repair and replace parts on truck- and tank-trailer-mounted pump, compressor, and hydraulic systems. You will install components, work with pumps, valves, hoses, fittings, and perform mechanical installations with an experienced team to keep customers' units on the road.

Responsibilities include reading job orders, replacing parts, upgrading units, and conducting tests per DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience building or repairing diesel, gas, or hydraulic equipment utilizing hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Read job orders to determine work to be performed per customer request and/or Dealership Manager direction.
• Replace failing parts to restore proper functioning of equipment.
• Install additional parts to existing-units to upgrade or enhance functioning and/or efficiency.
• Repair malfunctioning parts.
• Perform tests required by Department of Transportation (D.O.T.).
