Job summary

NFI is seeking a Heavy-Duty Fleet Diesel Service Technician in Chesapeake, VA. You’ll troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor/trailer issues using JPRO, OEM diagnostic software, multimeters, and Windows-based tools.

Perform PMs, complete DOT inspections per FMCSA, and collaborate with the team to keep a high-performing fleet safe. The position offers comprehensive benefits, training, and a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor/trailer issues using JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, multimeters, and Windows-based tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on tractors and trailers.
• Complete DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
• Handle physical demands and safety requirements in a busy shop environment.

Responsibilities
