Heavy Diesel Fitter based at
Karara, where you’ll carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of heavy mobile equipment.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll be hands-on in both workshop and field service environments, ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing- Maintain and repair a variety of mobile plant equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
- Perform general and emergency maintenance
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Occasionally work in-field to support breakdowns or urgent repairs
- Collaborate with your team to deliver high standards and meet deadlines
- Commit to and uphold Bis’ strong Zero Harm safety culture
What You’ll Need- Australian-recognised Trade Certificate – Cert III in Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Fitting
- Minimum 12 months post-trade experience on CAT or Komatsu equipment and mobile plant
- Mandatory Tickets: EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights, White Card
- Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence
- Full Australian Work Rights
