Qualifications

• 12 months post-trade experience on CAT or Komatsu equipment and mobile plant.
• Mandatory tickets: EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights, White Card.
• Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence required.

About the Role
Join Bis Industries as a Heavy Diesel Fitter based at Karara, where you’ll carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of heavy mobile equipment.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll be hands-on in both workshop and field service environments, ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain and repair a variety of mobile plant equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
• Perform general and emergency maintenance
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Occasionally work in-field to support breakdowns or urgent repairs
• Collaborate with your team to deliver high standards and meet deadlines
• Commit to and uphold Bis’ strong Zero Harm safety culture

What You’ll Need

• Australian-recognised Trade Certificate – Cert III in Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Fitting
• Minimum 12 months post-trade experience on CAT or Komatsu equipment and mobile plant
• Mandatory Tickets: EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights, White Card
• Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence
• Full Australian Work Rights
