Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. The role involves maintaining diesel, CNG, gas and electric systems, handling reports, work orders, and parts procurement on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include planning repairs in the M5 planner, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should be proficient with tools, possess strong records management, and help

Qualifications

Minimum of one year experience as a diesel mechanic.
Experience using diagnostic software is a plus.
Must be computer literate and willing to learn new software systems.
Ability to read and use repair manuals in English.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas and electrically operated equipment and vehicles.
Complete reports, work orders, and procure parts.
Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner and coordinate parts.
Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
Utilize power and hand tools and maintain tools for maintenance tasks.
Maintain a clean work area and follow company policies.
Assist in training new employees.
