Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Heavy Diesel Technician Recruiter to connect top maintenance talent with long-term careers. You will build relationships with trade schools, attend industry events, and leverage social media to source skilled diesel mechanics and fleet staff.

Two years of recruiting experience focused on heavy vehicles is preferred, with knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules. You will work with Hiring Managers to fill shop needs and travel up to 30% as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of recruiting experience focused on heavy vehicle diesel technicians.
• Technical knowledge of commercial vehicles and diagnostics.
• Familiar with DOT/FMCSA rules and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Strong networking skills with trade schools and events.
• Excellent communication and professional HR conduct.

Responsibilities

• Develops targeted recruiting plans with Corporate and Regional Teams.
• Builds a continuous pipeline of heavy vehicle technicians.
• Partners with Hiring Managers on location-specific needs.
• Conducts technical interviews assessing diagnostics and repair skills.
• Represents Waste Pro at schools, trade groups, and events.
• Tracks hiring metrics and suggests process improvements.
• Maintains transparent communication throughout the hiring process.
