Job summary

Environmental Air Systems in High Point, NC is seeking an experienced overhead crane operator for our manufacturing shop. You will lift, move, and position materials using overhead cranes, while maintaining strict safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities include pre-operational checks, interpreting load charts and rigging diagrams, coordinating with supervisors and teammates, and assisting with crane maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with valid crane operator certification.
• Proven crane operator experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Strong knowledge of crane operation principles, load dynamics, and rigging.
• Ability to read load charts and rigging diagrams.
• Proficiency in English or Spanish for communication.

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled overhead Crane Operator to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cranes, such as overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and components as needed.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on the crane and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Interpret load charts and rigging diagrams to determine load capacities, rigging configurations, and lifting procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, riggers, and other team members to plan and execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
• Inspect lifting attachments, slings, and rigging hardware for defects or damage before each lift and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Monitor crane operations closely to ensure safe and precise movement of loads, adjusting crane controls as needed to maintain stability and control.
• Communicate effectively with ground crew, spotters, and other personnel involved in lifting operations to coordinate movements and ensure safety.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of cranes and related equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments, to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to crane operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Education Requirements

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent Valid crane operator certification or license.
• Proven experience as a crane operator in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of crane operation principles, load dynamics, and rigging techniques.
• Ability to interpret load charts, rigging diagrams, and other technical documents.
