Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, LLC is seeking skilled forklift operators for our manufacturing shop. The role involves operating a forklift to move materials and finished products, loading/unloading from trucks, and maintaining safety and load integrity.

Weekday schedule is 6:00am-4:30pm with overtime as needed. Requirements include 3+ years of forklift experience (10,000lb+ capacity), a valid forklift cert, HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• Reading and speaking proficiency in English or Spanish required
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with 10,000lb+ capacity
• Valid forklift operator certification or license
• Experience in manufacturing or construction environment
• Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move materials, components, and finished products within the facility
• Load and unload materials from trucks and pallets with proper placement and securing
• Follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and perform pre-operational forklift checks
• Inspect forklift and report any defects or malfunctions
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely delivery
• Participate in training programs to improve forklift and safety skills
• Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals

Schedule

6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently transport materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads to prevent damage or accidents.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational checks on the forklift.
• Inspect forklift and related equipment for any defects or malfunctions before each use and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities, communicate any issues or concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials to designated areas.
• Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to forklift operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Education Requirements / Qualifications

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a 10,000lb+ lifting capacity, specifically for long and heavy steel products.
• Valid forklift operator certification or license.
• Proven experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in load handling and placement.
