S&R Corporation in Lowell, MA is seeking a Heavy Civil Roadway Construction Manager to lead our projects on site. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for project needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A HEAVY CIVIL ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Do you naturally lead and motivate teams to perform at their best? Are you proactive about keeping projects safe, efficient, and organized? • OSHA 30 certification
• 5+ years of superintendent experience
• Ability to work onsite
• Must live within 1 hour of the job location

Preferred qualifications include: A construction management (or related) degree, 10+ years heavy civil superintendent experience, project management, estimating, survey experience, strong leadership and safety skills, budgeting knowledge, understanding of codes and regulations, proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, and Bluebeam, plus plan reading and quantity take-offs.

DAY-TO-DAY

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility as needed to meet project demands.

Each day, you step into a leadership role that keeps everything moving forward—guiding crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope. You manage equipment and materials, track quantities, approve invoices, and maintain accurate records, all while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders. Your ability to balance big-picture planning with day-to-day execution ensures every project runs smoothly, safely, and successfully.
