Job summary

Posillico Civil, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with safety, quality, planning, and production on heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects.

You will work with engineers and field teams to manage quantity tracking, procurement, and documentation while aligning with baseline CPM schedules and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil/Mechanical/Construction Eng or related field and 2–3 years of experience.
• Experience in Heavy Civil Construction (highways, bridges, site work).
• Strong deadlines focus, detail oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with safety, quality, and planning.
• Support budget tracking, pay applications, and invoices.
• Help with look-ahead schedules and CPM baseline alignment.
• Prepare RFIs and review submittals for conformance.
• Maintain project documentation: logs, journals, photos, SWPPP, etc.
• Coordinate with Owner, Partners, and field staff in meetings.
