Job summary

Barnard in White Plains, NY seeks Project Engineer(s) to join a heavy-civil construction team working on dam, tunneling, and infrastructure projects across North America. You will support cost control, scheduling, submittals, and coordination with field crews and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field, willingness to relocate/travel in NY metro area and Northeast, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field.
Project sites will be located in NY metro area and/or Northeast; relocation/travel required.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Thorough attention to detail with ability to recognize discrepancies.
Strong work ethic—willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Involved in operations of cost control system and analysis of construction costs.
Participate in monthly forecasting of revenue and costs accruals.
Accumulate data and prepare monthly pay estimates.
Process and estimate change orders and RFIs as directed by Project Manager.
Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
Maintain a complete record of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals.
