Job summary

J Severino Construction is looking for a Heavy Civil Estimator/Project Manager to lead take-offs, prepare estimates, and manage project bids. You will coordinate subcontractors, develop bid books, and assist with change orders, procurement, and scheduling on civil projects.

The role requires proficiency in estimating techniques, MS Project/HeavyBid/Bluebeam, and strong communication and organization. Preference for candidates with PM exposure on site and a drive for accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal, written communications and analytical skills required.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong knowledge of project coordination and scheduling.
• Proficiency in construction estimating techniques.
• Familiarity with software such as MS Project, HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Bluebeam, ProCore

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil estimates by take-offs, proposals, plans and specs.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements from documents.
• Compute costs by analyzing inputs and subcontractor quotes.
• Perform Civil PM duties to assist site management and procurement.
• Prepare bid books and proposal drafts with qualifications and exclusions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and bid openings; distribute RFIs.
• Coordinate subcontracting, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Generate project schedules and track progress.
• Procure materials and obtain permits as needed.
• Utilize MS Office and project software for documentation.
