Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking a Civil Estimator to support estimating and preconstruction for major infrastructure projects across Washington State. The role welcomes experienced estimators and professionals transitioning into estimating, with emphasis on heavy civil project execution and cost management.

The candidate will review plans, develop quantity takeoffs, and prepare bid pricing while coordinating with PMs, subs, and vendors to ensure accurate cost evaluation and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil construction environments.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and project scopes.
• Working knowledge of quantity takeoffs, budgeting, estimating, project controls, or cost management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
• Evaluate labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production costs.
• Assist in bid preparation, pricing, and proposal development.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Support change order pricing and cost evaluation.
• Participate in project handoff and preconstruction planning activities.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking efforts.
