Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a Civil Estimator to support estimating and preconstruction for major infrastructure projects across Washington State. The role focuses on developing quantities, cost estimates, and bid development for heavy civil work.

Candidates with experience in heavy highway, bridges, utilities, or site development are encouraged, with a background in plan interpretation, budgeting, and cost management.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil construction environments.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specs, and project scopes.
• Working knowledge of quantity takeoffs, budgeting, estimating, project controls.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for heavy civil projects.
• Evaluate labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production costs.
• Assist in bid preparation, pricing, and proposal development.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Support change order pricing and cost evaluation.
• Participate in project handoff and preconstruction planning activities.
• Maintain estimating records and documentation.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking efforts.
