Job summary

Australia-Employment is seeking a Permanent Heavy Civil Estimator to join our growing team in a hybrid role. You will estimate for concrete, earthwork and related work, drive bids and value engineering to balance cost, quality, and timeline.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil estimating, strong analytical skills, and experience with estimating tools. A Civil Eng/CM degree is preferred; a CPE is a plus. Benefit package and company truck included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating or related role.
• Proficiency in concrete, flatwork, concrete structures, and earthwork.
• Experience in project bidding, value engineering, blueprint reading, cost analysis, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of dirt estimating and abutment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with effective communication.

Responsibilities

Industry leading Civil construction firm is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

Join us as a Permanent Heavy Civil Estimator in the exciting Engineering industry. This hybrid role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is ready to take their career to the next level.

You will be working on a variety of heavy civil construction projects, utilizing your skills in concrete, flatwork, concrete structures, earthwork, and more. You will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring the success of our projects through accurate estimating, project bidding, value engineering, and cost analysis.

If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for the construction industry, and a knack for budgeting and blueprint reading, this role is for you.

Salary

USD $120,000 – $150,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including concrete, flatwork, concrete structures, and earthwork.
• Participate in project bidding, ensuring competitive and accurate bids that align with the company's standards and goals.
• Utilize value engineering to optimize the balance between cost, quality, and project timeline.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
• Proficient in using various estimating software and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar certification is a plus.
