6 Degrees Search is seeking a Civil Estimator to support estimating and preconstruction for major infrastructure projects across Washington State. The ideal candidate understands heavy civil construction and has experience in planning, quantity tracking, budgeting, and cost management.

The role involves bid preparation, coordinating with project teams, and contributing to preconstruction planning. A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are required for successful execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil construction environments.
• Understanding of construction methods for roads, bridges, utilities, earthwork, drainage, or transportation infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and project scopes.
• Working knowledge of quantity takeoffs, budgeting, estimating, project controls, or cost management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.
• Evaluate labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production costs.
• Assist in bid preparation, pricing, and proposal development.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Support change order pricing and cost evaluation.
• Participate in project handoff and preconstruction planning activities.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking efforts.
