Job summary

S.E.T., Inc. is seeking Construction Laborers to join our heavy civil crews across roadway reconstruction, bridge work, and underground utilities in Ohio and surrounding states. This union position offers steady work and a path to LIUNA membership, with pay per the applicable CBA and full fringe benefits.

You will support traffic control, utilities, concrete and asphalt tasks, and general site work on active projects. Candidates should be reliable, safety‑minded, and willing to travel.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in heavy highway, civil, or underground construction preferred.
• Ability to read grade stakes, cut sheets, and basic plan information.
• Willingness to travel and work out of town on occasions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Setting and maintaining work zone traffic control and flagging operations.
• Assisting with underground utility installation and pipe laying.
• Concrete work: forms, curb, gutter, sidewalk, and bridge deck prep.
• Asphalt paving support, joint sealing, and compaction tasks.
• Loading/unloading materials and keeping the site tidy.
• Following safety policies, JSAs, and toolbox talks.
