Job summary
The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Carpenter for heavy civil construction in Kittery, Maine. The role focuses on building concrete forming systems per blueprints, installing scaffolding, and maintaining safety on site.
Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of bridge work experience, be skilled with leveling tools, and able to operate power equipment safely while contributing to a productive crew on a variety of infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in bridge work.
- Read and interpret blueprints; assemble heavy form systems.
- Experience with leveling tools such as laser levels and transits.
- Knowledge of concrete pumps and finishing is a plus.
- Rigging knowledge is a plus.
- Must operate and maintain power equipment used on site.
Responsibilities
- Construct, erect, and install concrete forming systems per blueprints.
- Set up scaffolding and framework safely and efficiently.
- Interpret drawings to determine material quantities and layout.
- Operate and maintain power equipment in accordance with safety policies.
- Secure tools and materials at the end of each shift.
