Job summary

Gerhart is seeking a CDL Field Technician in New Jersey to install, calibrate, and maintain heavy-capacity weighing equipment on-site. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with complex systems and may lead projects while mentoring peers on job sites.

The role requires a CDL Class B (preferred) and a strong mechanical or electrical background, with flexibility for overtime. You’ll work outdoors in varied conditions and use industrial service tools; welding is a plus.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B (preferred; current CDL holders will be compensated).
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• General mechanical or electrical background.
• Customer-focused mindset and a self-starter attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions (heat, cold, dust, and dirt).
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; welding experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of 120VAC/DC wiring.
• Strength, stamina, and willingness to bend, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate our Test Truck/Rig to install, calibrate, and maintain weighing equipment in the field.
