Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Heavy Assembler in Springfield, MO. The role involves assembling metal components on the shop floor, following documented procedures and quality checks to ensure a finished unit that passes final inspection.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and basic math/reading skills; on-the-job training is provided. Onsite work with a competitive hourly rate and a $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts according to the unit being assembled or controlled documents.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners.
• Operates drills, hand/air impact wrenches, and hand tools.
• Produces a completed unit capable of passing final inspection.
• Other duties as assigned
