Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Estimator

Well established Sheet Metal Contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator.

Responsibilities

• Preparing full estimates for a variety of municipal, industrial and commercial projects as required by the customer's documents.
• Reviewing and evaluating RFQ's, RFP's and bid documents.
• Developing RFI's for inconsistencies and missing information in the contract documents.
• Ensuring timely completion of estimates.
• Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop pertinent clarifications and exclusions.
• Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid.
• Execute electronic, computer-based takeoffs of construction documents.
• Obtaining pricing for materials.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, equipment, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as bid front ends, scopes of work, blueprints, safety programs, QA/QC manuals.

Must be organized with keen attention to detail, proven ability to multi-task, set priorities and work independently.
