Job summary

Irving Oil is seeking a Heating Service Technician to service customers, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment under established policies. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in daily service calls from our network of customers.

You will install and service oil and propane boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and tanks, with on-call evenings and weekends. A valid propane/natural gas license is required, and wiring/plumbing knowledge is expected; Nora certification is a

Qualifications

• Valid propane or natural gas license required.
• Knowledge of wiring and plumbing.
• Heating technician experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems by reviewing diagnostics and using proper tools to complete repairs.
• Provide final inspections of systems to ensure safe operation after repairs.
• Complete daily paperwork for each service call.
• Maintain daily and yearly inventory.
• Ensure service truck is in good working order and reliable.
• Perform other duties to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.
• Rotational on-call evenings and weekends.
