Job summary

Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a Heating Service Technician to service customers, troubleshoot equipment, and perform diagnostics under established policies. You will install, maintain, and repair oil and propane systems, ensuring safe operation and compliance with standards.

The role requires a valid propane or natural gas license, wiring/plumbing knowledge, and a background in heating tech. We offer a substantial benefits package and an opportunity to contribute to the local Rutland area.

Qualifications

• A valid Propane or natural gas license is required.
• Nora Certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of wiring and plumbing is required.
• Heating technician experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters and oil tanks.
• Review diagnostics with proper tools and complete repairs.
• Provide final inspections to ensure safe operation of systems.
• Complete daily paperwork for each service call and maintain inventory.
• Operate the service truck safely and be on-call during evenings and weekends.

As a Heating Service Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of our customers. Your responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and perform diagnostic activities regarding service equipment within our established policies and procedures.
