Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC commissioning or controls experience.
• Hands-on experience with BAS/BMS systems (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, etc.).
• Programming, configuring, and testing HVAC control systems.
• Functional performance testing and system diagnostics.
• Knowledge of sequence of operations and controls logic.
• Proficiency reading mechanical and controls schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and test HVAC control systems and BAS platforms.
• Execute functional performance testing to validate system operation.
• Troubleshoot control sequences, sensors, and system integration issues.
• Validate system performance against sequence of operations.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and controls vendors.
• Develop and document commissioning reports and test scripts.
• Support system optimization and handoff to operations teams.

Job description

Contract:

6-month contract to hire

Schedule:

Start day shift but need to be open to day, swing, night, based on business needs (7am - 5pm EST, some Saturdays)

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of HVAC commissioning or controls experience
• Hands-on experience with BAS/BMS systems (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, etc.)
• Strong experience with programming, configuring, and testing HVAC control systems
• Ability to perform functional performance testing and system diagnostics
• Knowledge of sequence of operations and controls logic
• Proficiency in reading mechanical and controls schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Plusses:

• Experience with energy efficiency or LEED commissioning
• Electrical controls and low-voltage troubleshooting experience
• Prior experience leading commissioning activities on large projects
• Knowledge of integration with other building systems

Day-to-Day:
