Job summary

The Encompass Group is seeking a Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Plano, TX team. You will service, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including RTUs, VAV/VFDs, chillers, VRF, and more. You will mentor junior technicians and ensure top-tier customer service.

This role involves on-call shifts and after-hours support, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with supervisors to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair skills for commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with electrical, controls, and building automation systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Valid Social Security Number.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, startup, troubleshooting, warranty, and repair work on a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and repair RTUs (3-150 Tons), VAV & VFD systems, gas and electric unit heaters, mini-splits, split systems, VRF systems, and chillers.
• Respond to service calls professionally and efficiently while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentor and assist entry-level and mid-level technicians to support their professional growth.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure all customer concerns are addressed before leaving the job site.
• Maintain accurate service reports, invoices, and documentation; communicate updates to supervisors.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support emergency service needs during evenings and weekends.
• Follow all company safety standards and PPE usage at all times.
