Job summary

A/D Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. is seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians for residential and light-commercial work in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, communicate repair options to homeowners, and contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding team.

We offer competitive hourly pay plus performance-based commissions and bonuses, plus benefits and a company vehicle. Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC service and repair experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred/required as applicable to job duties.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must have appropriate personal hand tools for the position.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot a wide range of heating and cooling equipment and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups.
• Identify systems for replacement and present options to customers.
• Prepare repair recommendations and estimates using ServiceTitan.
• Educate customers on maintenance agreements, indoor air quality products, and financing options when appropriate.
• Complete service calls, invoices, photos, notes, and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable codes; participate in after-hours coverage as needed.

We primarily specialize in residential HVAC service, repair, maintenance, and replacement, along with select light-commercial work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot a wide range of heating and cooling equipment, including:
  • Split-system air conditioners
  • Heat pumps
  • Gas furnaces
  • Air handlers and fan coils
  • Package units
  • Mini-split and ductless systems
  • Thermostats and controls
  • Indoor air quality equipment
  • Refrigeration and electrical components
  • Airflow and comfort-related issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups.
• Accurately diagnose equipment failures and recommend appropriate repair options.
• Identify systems that may be candidates for replacement and clearly communicate available options to customers.
• Prepare and present repair recommendations and estimates using ServiceTitan.
• Educate customers on maintenance agreements, indoor air quality products, system upgrades, and available financing options when appropriate.
• Complete service calls, invoices, photos, notes, equipment information, and other documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
• Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Participate in scheduled after-hours, evening, and weekend service coverage as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of HVAC service and repair experience preferred.
• Strong residential HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, airflow, and refrigeration-related HVAC problems.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred/required as applicable to job duties.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Comfortable explaining repair and replacement options to homeowners without using high-pressure sales tactics.
• Ability to recognize legitimate opportunities for additional repairs, system improvements, maintenance agreements, and equipment replacement.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in the field while communicating effectively with dispatch and management.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and successfully complete applicable background and drug screening requirements.
• Must have appropriate personal hand tools for the position.
• Willingness to work periodic after-hours and weekend shifts when required.
• ServiceTitan experience strongly preferred.
