Role Description

The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Auburn, WA. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-split systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing service calls, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with customers about recommended repairs or upgrades. The technician will collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage schedules, ensure timely completion of jobs, and uphold safety and compliance standards. This role also supports installation projects, assists with system start-ups, and contributes to overall customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing HVAC system performance issues and identifying effective solutions.
• Experience with maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance for heating and air conditioning equipment.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and possession of appropriate EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with clients.
• Relevant HVAC training or equivalent on-the-job experience; industry certifications (e.g., NATE) are a plus.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical components related to HVAC systems and safe work practices.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel locally to job sites in Western Washington.
• Ability to lift and move equipment, work in confined spaces or at heights, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Strong time management, documentation, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and safety.
