Bodycote in Huntington Park, CA seeks a Lab Technician to perform essential heat treatment testing under the Quality Manager. The role supports customer specifications and requires handling paperwork, preparing parts, and maintaining strict safety and EMS standards.

Levelled duties include progressing from guided testing to independent work, with opportunities for mentorship and skill growth in metallurgy and testing procedures. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• ITAR compliance: candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
• Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Must have proficient knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, inspection and related subjects.
• Must be able to use RC hardness tester and other testing equipment as required.
• Requires computer experience and good understanding of basic math.

Responsabilidades

• Review paperwork to verify information and testing to be done.
• Prepares parts and equipment for testing procedures.
• Conducts testing as required, reporting any non-conformance to manager.
• Accurately completes required paperwork and follows through as required.
• Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
• Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS.
• Performs other tasks as designated by position.
• Must have the ability to report for work on time and follow directions.
