Job summary

Paulo-2 is seeking a Departmental Trainee to operate, monitor, and shut down heat treating furnaces in a fast-paced production environment. You will follow customer specifications and production schedules under the guidance of furnace operators, ensuring proper processing of parts.

The role involves loading parts, performing inspections for hardness and cleanliness, documenting results, and recording cycles.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including THC).
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

  • Set, monitor, and regulate furnaces following schedules and supervisor instructions.
  • Load parts or die work in baskets and racks according to material type and size.
  • Inspect in-process and final hardness, case depth, straightness, and cleanliness to meet requirements.
  • Document inspection results and tag parts appropriately.
  • Record furnace cycle on production log and shop order.
  • Start up, regulate, and shut down equipment.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries and adapt to schedule changes.
