Job summary

LPW Group is seeking a Heat Treat Technician Helper to perform heat treating per specifications on work orders, including pre-heat, post-heat stress relief, normalize, temper or anneal. The role involves operating furnaces, maintaining furnace charts, and verifying hardness to ensure order compliance.

The ideal candidate will read and interpret work orders, drawings, and other written instructions, have forklift experience, and hold a High School Diploma. Strong English communication is required.

Roles & Responsibilities

A Heat Treat Technician Helper performs heat treating per specifications outlined on work order, i.e., pre-heat, post-heat stress relieve, normalize, temper or anneal

For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

• Operate all furnaces
• Keep accurate records and furnace charts
• Perform hardness testing to verify compliance to work order requirement
• Organize “heat treat lots” of material based on time & temperature requirements

Desired Requirements

• Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job

Competency

Minimum Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
• Forklift Operator experience is desired
